Hycel’s experience in real estate lease term negotiations has had a positive affect for our clients who were motivated to build their store count as they sought growth and profitability to achieve their broader asset goals.
Hycel, during its twelve year relationship with Build-A-Bear Workshop, was instrumental in achieving the necessary controlled store growth by securing quality locations at appropriate lease terms. Starting with the dynamic retailer beginning with store #2, we continued to assist them with their real estate needs long after their successful IPO in 2005.
Hycel also worked with lucy Activewear, the Portland, Oregon based retailer, to grow from 14 stores to over 65, when the company was sold to VF Corp. in an all cash deal. The ownership of lucy was pleased by the value-added from their retail lease terms and benefitted from their exit strategy.
